Andrews Family Notes
Land Deeds Continued:

1840 Abijah and Frederick bought land in Section 29 Union Township, Fulton County, Illinois. Abijah bought 160 acres, Frederick bought 80 acres and Lewis Palmer had bought 80 acres in 1837 that lies between their property.  Lewis later bought Frederick's 80 acres.  Frederick and Lewis both had adjoining land of 40 acres each in Section 15 of the same township.

As one can see, the Palmers and Andrews had a close relationship.  We believe that Lewis' mother married John Andrews somtime between 1803 and 1807.  We also believe that Frederick Andrews is the half-brother of Lewis Palmer.  A Sarah Palmer is listed with a male child in Hamilton, Madison County in 1800.  Lewis Palmer is not listed in any census until 1830.  The 1820 census lists a male age 26-45 in the John Andrews household. Other sources have Sarah Bloomer from Rye New York as being married to a Lewis Palmer and a John Andrews.  Abijah Griffin in Greene County New York married Abigail Bloomer.   Simeon Andrews son of Abijah married Emily Palmer daughter of Lewis.  Lewis and Harriet Palmer also named one of their children Frederick R. Palmer.  Your comments are important..
