David Alden and Polly Smith's exact burial site is unknown. David Alden last appears in the 1870 Census living with his son Smith David Alden in Lee Township. After extensive research in New York and Pennsylvania we have concluded that David and Polly came to live with their son after 1865 and probably are buried in unmarked graves in the Alden plot in Virgil Cemetery. Kathryn and I erected the following memorial to honor the Aldens. |
