Ancestrial Cemeteries

Rural cemeteries are in poor condition and our connection with those who have gone before is being severed.  The very people who have prepared the way for our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, who have defended our nation in time of war, and who have given us our very lives, their resting places have been abandoned and even plowed under.  It is time that we all take a part in preserving our rural cemeteries.

The citizens of the townships of Fulton County, Illinois are assessed by the township a tax to pay for the maintenance of their rural cemeteries.  These funds are given to a cemetery board that is responsible for that maintenance.  If you feel a cemetery is not being properly maintained,  please contact your township supervisor.
